Re: Blue Syncro on the bay

Post by springbk »

When I asked If he had done any welding as I saw some one of the front foot steps looked as though some welding had been done, I am sure he said he had not done any welding all he had done was get it painted. I was surprised as his business is repairing VW's and I saw all these vans there....

I will double check though.....

Thanks

He is telling fibs then!

Have a look on pics on campervanculture. Was a shagging big hole on front NS just above headlamp! If he has fibbed about this, what else has he fibbed about?

Can't honestly recall state of cab steps but 99.9% sure it had no welding when Tom had it off me!

Fortunately I checked the pump timing three times after Hutch did it and moved the belt one tooth so it ran properly so that adds a grand back on! :ok

It wasn't welded whilst in my possession nor did it look like it had been welded at all in the past.

For the resto to be done properly it would have required a fair amount of welding.

When I sold it I was 100% honest with any faults the vehicle had.

So was i (except for the bit about me and Hutch spooning in it, thought that might have cost me the sale)

Deffo a big stinky fibber then cos i never got the corner welded and neither did Tom then. (unless he is being honest and it has a ton of plod in the front end!)
