this is something I have considered a few times but as with other posts it would be nice to couple it to an inexpensive newer injection system - and so we start the merry go round again ! + if I am going to change the engine I got this TDI sat here looking at me.

at the moment mine runs sweet, gives 26 - 27 on a run so 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' however I'm always keen to learn as new ways hit the streets with the original engines.

Having read reams and reams about various engine options over the past few months, I've decided the WBX is worth keeping and upgrading. It's a very smooth and sweet engine, with characteristics that really suit the van. Diesels have impressive efficiency and give loads of torque but they are not in any way sweet or smooth engines, especially not when compared to the WBX.

So, uprated WBX it is.

I am renewing the engine shortly, and having a slight upgrade to closed loop LPG but the next step will be to go to something like the Speedshop injection/induction system that Steve at Gasure talks about above.

Here is a link to the Speedshop page... I already have the excellent SS exhaust so I'm part way there... 8)
