Oh how I laughed as the part of the gearbox casing fell to the floor.. It was that important bit that holds the gearbox selector pin to the case..
I have managed to get hold of another gearbox but my box code is DH11 010 and the new one is DH02 060. Would a swap be ok?
Also, to make life a tad easier, I was going to either swap just the bell housing off my box on to the new box which hasn't come with the bell housing, will it fit ok?
The other option is to use the original box and just swap the casings over where the the gear selector pin would be. Im thinking this could be a lot more complicated than just swapping bell housings.
What do you think?
Gearbox case broke..

Re: Gearbox case broke..
the replacement box should be entirely compatible, same ratio, built 6 months after yours back in 1980, bellhousing is straight swap, input shaft oil seal and gasket available from brickwerks might as well do the seal while it is off
