WELDING GUTTERS

Post by golfingtam »

Good evening friends, anybody ever welded the gutters on the side of a T25. My gutters have decade so I need to weld new metal onto my campervan.I would like to know if I can weld without burning anything behind the roof panel. I was going to weld without taking down the trim inside the 'van.

ive been welding vehicles for a long time ,and leaving anything that is flammable near where your welding isnt a good idea,as sparks from welder do travel.best option is to remove headlining a pain in the ass but will more than likely catch fire or be ruined.also would suggest removing insulation from inside panels as well as molten metal will go down inside panel, and these vehicles dont take long to go up ......

Whs ^^^. Also cover any glass up well as weld spatter has a tendency to eat into the glass if uncovered ( don't ask how I know . Daz
