Ok now the weather milder, im gonna have a go at replacing my rotten trailing arms.
whats the best way to go about this as in a step by step routine?

you will amost certainly have to cut the oldies off. the inner bolts are more likely to undo than the outers.
presume you have been spraying penetrating oil on the bolts regularly up til now?
make sure you have new bolts arm and driveshaft bolts ect ready . you will prob need new brake back plates as well.
you can do it without stripping the hub but its easier to strip it all down.

i've got repair feet for the spring mounts for sale but figure if your cutting them of they are past it

Ive already got a really good second hand set of arms that ive had stripped and galvanised, plus new bolts and bushes etc.
i spose i best start it soon.

Hi, i got the first trailing arm off, i need to get the bushes in now.
The bushes i bought have a serated edge on one end and a smooth edge the other end?
is this significant?
if so which way round do they go?

thanks it says on there that the serrated end goes to the side of the bolts head?
is that right for both inner and outer bushes?

yup, and as far as Im aware (and as far as my own research went with the experts....) it makes no difference) good luck with it..

I have the bushes in the arms, when i put the arms back on would it be a good idea to use copper ease on the trailing arm bolts?
or is there a alternative grease i should use?
