Thanks for the feedback guys after much head scratching the design will be tweeked especially regards the hinge mountings which are the critical elements. Yep been a bit of a mare chasing fabricators and trying to tie them down to dates and time schedules but hopefully will get there eventually fingers x'd

Is the dipping down on the left quite a lot one of the tweaks?

I don't think that's 'dipping' at all.

Ortec carriers aren't parallel to the tailgate and angle towards the centre if looked from above. This is because the locking bar runs parallel but the mount doesn 't.

What you can see is the difference between the tailgate extremes and the centre. The locking bars themselves seem level enough.

Keep it up mate. I'm still up for a pair.

I was just using the line along the bottom of the door as reference and comparing the two, Ortec on the left that has dropped due to being sat on and the copy on the right

Well done Paul ! Glad to hear some progress. They look great to me. Might have to up my order to 2
There have been a few strange contraptions come up on ebay lately, and I have been getting a itchy trigger finger (how I ended up with a syncro in the first place !)
But these look great. I have been made redundant, so cancelled our trip to Sweden (again). So the pressure is off for me to get one sorted.
I still have plenty of other jobs to do on the van tho.

Still definately on for two please Paul. Sounds like they will be well sorted by the time you get to final fabrication. Are you going to be doing them in bare steel so that people get their own coatings done or will they be coated? I think this may have been asked before but can't find find it as just back from mate's birthday BBQ!
