Hot air heating pipes + gas connections.

Post by samwise »

Hi there,

i have just bought a 1980 2000CC air cooled VWt25 and am currently doign a few bits and bobs. One of the frist things i noticed was that the heating didnt work (am trying to fix it before it gets cold again.) I looked underneath the camper and the y shaped tube that goes from the heat exchangers to the front of the van where it would meet the distribution point is missing. I was wondering if anybody knows where i can get a replacement for it? And once i fit it will i be able with a bit of tweeking of the flaps to be able to have either hot or fresh air, i've read alot about people simply leaving the flaps wired open or closed from summer to winter...

I have also bought an electrolux rm122 fridge which i would like to plumb in, my current gas bottle (butane) has a regulator with a black rubber hose coming from it. However the fridge has a 5/6mm copper pipe coming from it. I have also bought a 2way gas connector (please see photo) which i would like to run the grill and fridge off of and i was wondering if anybody knew of a good solution to connect the copper piping from the fridge to the rubber hose from the grill and the rubber hose from the gas tank....

Sorry if thats a bit all over the place as a description.

Thanks.

You'll need a compression fitting (to fit the copper pipe with olive)with a hose tail suitable for the size of flexible pipe it will be fitted to and hose clip . eBay or a good caravan spares shop .
