Roof skin removal

Post by b-f-c »

Just about to embark on the roof skin swap for my buggered roof to the lovely one I've acquired from Aidan (again many thanks fella for all your help :D , especially the trailer pin  )

Had a look around at a few threads, the likes of youthy giblets and others. The most awkward bit seems to be the corners where it looks to be brazed . Any recommendations on how to remove the roof here without buggering up the donor and the recipient?

Thanks

If it is brazed - just undo the braze, that's the beauty of brazing.

Raised on the school of 'mig everything!', I take it removing the brazing is simple? Heat it and let the brazing flood out?

Heat it and just lift the metal parts away from each other.
