Can anybody help with this. I have a T25 Holdsworth.
It been starting perfectly fine. I took it out today and started it about 2 times in my journey etc. Then came back after 30 mins then it wouldn’t start. It was like a like clicking noise coming from the fuseboard.
After about the 10th attempt I got it going. Ran it around for 10 mins then it re-started fine. I got home went to re-start it, now it’s dead. Nothing happens when you turn the ignition no clicking or anything.
I have digital volt meter and when you turn the key naturally the current dive down but now it goes down to -0.25.
The battery looked like it was receiving charge ok on way home in 13.90V. Though apparently at stand still it’s 12.6V
Is this start motor related you think?

Re: Holdsworth won't start
could be a poor earth connection. , check battery connections are tight, then there is another earth from the gearbox to the chassis, worth checking that it is clean and tight and not connected to rust !
Then I think the starter motor itself has an earth... not sure about this exactly.
