Lol Sorry was such a damzil in this dress earlier. My van has been blowing out oil every since we got her up and running last week. Two old boys have been working on it for a while. One has abit more experience than the other VW''s than the other. However not a great deal. One of the old boys has from the off been saying.Look the engine is "feck" you need a new engine. However i said i would like to do a compression test etc and didnt want to just give up on it.He had a fair point he saying why keep throwing money at it but so far hasnt cost a bomb.Nowhere in the region of a new engine.
Anyway today they come out to look at something and then through the process.Took out the spark plugs and three of them had black residue on them and one of them was completely clean. This then lead on to taking the Rocker cover of to find that there was so much play in one thatthe push rod pretty much fell out. When putting it back on he has managed to tighten the play up abit and now there seems to be so much less blue smoke and oil and burning.I have orded a new pushrod and tube and gaskett and hope this could be the thing that resolves it.
BIG THANKS TO YOUR REPLYS
