Hi all,
My Vanagon has central locking, but both front door actuators are replacements: 5 wire instead of original 3 wire (without internal end-stop, I reckon) wires are black, white, brown, blue and green. No marking on the unit except for "12 V". Is there any way to hook these up to the old system that uses 3 wires: brown=ground, white and yellow for either lock-plus or unlock-plus ? If I do need two new actuators 3 wire system, how do I connect these at the driver's side? or do the units have a sensor inside, so when I turn the key, it will change the contact internally from unlock to lock or viceverse ?
Where can I find new actuators, or secondhand, anyone ? Hope you can help me out, thanks.

The driver side, and sometimes the passenger, has four wires one of which is a signal wire which feeds to the other actuators which, I think, have three wires.
EBay and particularly eBay.de is a good place to find them as is here or on the brickie forum.

Re: central locking old and new actuators
Thanks, Titus,
Indeed, on the righthand side door, I found the red feed wire, just cut short in the wireloom cover. So I must now find 2 pcs 4 wire actuators.
I found a complete set on eBay.de . Trouble with that site is that you just cannot call the seller and arrange price&shipping. So now I have to wait ....
Fingers crossed.

Re: central locking old and new actuators
If you do land a set by ebay and have problems getting sent to the UK give me a shout.
I have provided a forwarding service to 80-90 members before.
The price for shipping a complete set to the UK should not be more than 20€.
