Rad flush video opinion

Hello all I flushed my radiator earlier today I videoed it, it was flushed with a big karcher power washer, does it look from the video above that all is flowing as it should, my last engine overheated and want to be sure that the new rebuild doesn't do the same.

Hi Rob,take the rad fan switch out to make sure there's no blockage leading to it?

New re-build must have set you back a pretty penny, so why if you have doubt about the radiator don't you just replace it?
New radiators cost less than £75 use CP10LESS for more discount

Whilst it's certainly clear enough to allow coolant to flow, that doesn't really say whether there's any blocked bits on it anywhere. B'sides, I'm not sure I'd want to shove that much water pressure through it...

I'm with Martin. New rad's really cheap insurance.

Is that rad as good as the oem ones from brickwerks? they even sell bigger upgrade ones

The Brickwerks one is a better known brand but then it is nearly double the price when you add the postage.
The EuroCarParts/CarParts4Less one is listed as a 42mm core (brickwerks 44mm) but the original thinner one for the 1.9 was only 34mm.

The Behr/Hella is undoubtedly the better known brand but then I've also not heard any bad comments about German made EIS radiators, unless anyone can report otherwise?

So I guess you pays your money..........

Thanks for the advice guys, it defiantly makes sense to buy a new one, as you rightly say the rebuild ain't gonna be cheap. I have a friend here in Finland who works in the motor trade I might possibly get a new rad even cheaper.

What else should I be looking at renewing to protect the rebuild?

The obvious new stuff covered so far is as follows,

Oil pump
Water pump
Stat
Dalek cap(from BW's)
Oil pressure switch
Oil cooler
Temp switches on head
New electrical connections in engine bay(soldered)
Diesel tank and fuel lines/filter
Ancillary belts

Anything missed?

Ideally I'd like to replace the complete cooling system pipe work but can't fund it just yet.

Engine mounts seem good.
