Would you mind if I ask what the symptoms were? I have, what could or could not be related issues with my gear selection also. When going into first, the lever often goes over into reverse - i've become used to it but my partner nearly gave herself whiplash at the traffic lights when the van 'lurched' the wrong way at the green light!!!!

Just wondering if there are any similarities to yours. Cheers, Mitch.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Hi MItch that what mine was doing and i had a funny grateing noice. I think
where it had broken it allowed the gearstick to full down. All the other gears
where ok just 1st and reverse. You could see the panic on the faces behind you
when the reversing lights came on. Lol. Hope this helps. It was easy to get to
just unscrew the plate at the bottom of gearstick. I have not put mine back together
yet as just waitig for the repair kit. .Good luck with yours jen

Thanks Jen, looks as though there's a strong chance of our problems being the same one. I need to put together an order for Brickwerks (water pump has a happy little wobble on the pulley!!!!), so I'll order the kit also. If I improve the gear selection and but some convex/concave???? mirrors, my better half has promised to drive it again - my young boys will chuffed to have mom cart them about in the van. Good times, thanks. Mitch.
