Custom Panel van....... back on it!

Post by Paul_Van_Denton »

What do people do with crease's? Shall I just use filler? or shall I try to pull it out, if so it might distort the whole big panel?

Probably gonna just fill it but id like a second opinion.

Cheers guys

hah cheers, I wish I had a garage!

Well continued with the dash, marked up where I want the gauges to go, thought id get that panel all straight as its easier to fill and sand without the holes being there, got it pretty straight I think!

Image

Big mistake!!

Image

Seemed that my hole cutter had one good cut in it, otherwise it takes too much time to cut and gets pretty hot, and melts the filler!

Image

had to sharpen the hole saw with the grinder!

Image

had to finish with the dremel.

Image

well its in I guess!

did a quick test to see if the diy flake gun would work and it does!!

Image

I will make it a bit better when I come to flake, hopefully tomo.

So just been fillering that bit and will prime it again tomo!!

thanks for the tips on the cutters!

Well just sprayed the black, I know im spraying outside in terrible conditions and all that but ive managed to spray the primer pretty good with no runs or bits or any other matter in the paint. Painted the basecoat and now I have what looks like loads of air bubbles in the paint, pretty much all over! :( I dunno what I did wrong? Will take a pic when it dries. Hopefully wont matter that much as im gonna cover it in what is essentially sparkly grit but I don't want to repeat the same with the clear!
