Drum bolts

Post by Salty »

Just bought some new boots for Betsy... really chuffed as they should just bolt straight on (Ha,Ha) :rofl . Back wheels are just catching on the two small bolts securing the brake drum to the rear wheel hub. Any ideas??

Just lose the bolts...

They're really only there to hold the drum in place before you put the wheel on. Once the wheel's on, the drum certainly ain't going anywhere, and even with the wheel off, the studs will do 95% of the same job, especially the awkward bit of stopping it rotating and you losing the bolt holes, like the fronts on 'erselfs 205 do, since the disk screws sheared...
