hot start issues hopefully gone

Post by bicolour »

well i have been trying to knock this hot start issue on the head with no joys after

cleaning and replacing earth straps and connections to starter
replace bush
new battery

so i decided to fit a hot start relay bus defo starts faster but still need to drive it over a hour to see if finily the issue has gone

i can see the issue i believe with the red and black wire that goes to the solanoid as when i cut it to put a new connecter on the wires are black and oily?

i guess i will replace this wire when i can, but hopefully for now the relay will work,

on the plus side of today i decided to do a oil change and glad i did as my drive shaft bolts where loose and nearly out (has this happened to anyone else)?

Those wires have been subjected to heat from current trying to cross a dirty contact.
