t25 gearbox problems help needed

Hi
I'm having problems with my clutch / gearbox I can select every gear fine but when I fully release clutch pedal the whole van vibrates and I get no drive any ideas what could b the problem will be much appreciated

Sounds like a broken driveshaft/cv joint. You need to look underneath the van while somebody operates the clutch and gears. If one of the driveshafts is spinning or flailing around without moving the van then you've found your problem. If there's no movement of either driveshaft then it's either a clutch or gearbox issue.
1982 was 2ltr a/c then 1.9d 5spd, now 1.9tdi with passat box. Reimo pop top.

Don't go under a running van that's in gear if you think a drive shaft may be loose/flailing around!! :shock:

With the engine turned off and the keys in your pocket crawl under the van and check whether the drive shafts that go from the gearbox to the rear wheels are still in place. The CV joint bolts can shear or come loose resulting in loosing any drive. This often happens at junctions just as your pulling out into traffic..... :oops:

Thanks for replies I don't think this is the cause as if I take clutch up to biting point I can move just when I release clutch totally it shudders and stalls
