The front calipers only have a single piston. If its sticking it will either be the piston or slider assembly? Caliper slides across on pins when brake pedal depressed.

Rear brake hubs just cleaned up with rotary wire brush.

We have been lucky as Mark had a spare pair of calipers and the drums and discs both in good condition so just needed cleaning up.

My brakes look different to yours though, and mine defo look like a double piston arrangement. Need to dismantle to see better.

Hiya Halfbakedpixels sounds like you have the earlier type of brakes on your van pre 1985

Found and bought a pair of seats on Ebay.

Problem is in Tamworth (180 mile) so going to try and arrange collection by carrier. If not looks like I will be driving down on Thursday night/Friday morning.

Have you tried an 80-90 express request? I might be able to help part way. Certainly from York to yours at least.

Van picked up today and now has MOT.

Image

Certificates now record previous MOT and mileges.

Last MOT was 09/08/2007 with milege of 106795.

So van has been of road for nearly 6 years.

Both of us made good progress today on interior. Mark also rewired fused unit with new cable.

Seat bases trimmed with carpet.

Extra lats cut to fill in between ribs. This then covered in insulation. Sorry but photo upside down?

Image
New plywood fitted and fastened down.

Image
Lino glued in and trail fit of unit.

Image
Bed fitted.

Image
Mark - Found and fitted back rest brackets.

Image
Some carpet trim still required at walk through.

Fixed units in today.

Image
Think I have the tin behind the fridge in right location.

Image
Worktop still to install but will replace edge trim before I refit.

Took van out for small run today. 5 speed box is unusual? Drivers side caliper is binding, hope this beds in?

Van now taxed and insured so will give it a few runs to work this week.
Few other little jobs to do and then plan to take to Volks Power this weekend.
