No Reading on Temperature Gauge

Post by Jdavies788 »

Hi,

We have a 1989 1.7 diesel T25, the flashing lights work when in the start position, but then get no reading or needle movement. Checked wire connector to temperature sender and earthed to battery with a circuit tester....no light!.....Any ideas.

Thanks

earth the sender wire to the engine
it should send the gauge to the top
if it doesn't then the sender is faulty

the red light is a low coolant level indicator

Which sender are you removing the wire from and earthing?
