More info.... whilst the engine was out and I was repairing the thermostat and waterpump issues I thought it may be a good time to tackle the sheared exhaust studs

some needed re tapping but one needed helicoiling as well, in the process it looks like I went too deep and drilled through into the water jacket
yes I know...... muppet,so refitted the engine and fired her up earlier, and found water pi££ing out of the front right exhaust stud ... but having nearly torched the bloody van in anger I have calmed down a tad and have been reading on tinternet and it appears that this is a fairly common if frustrating occurrence... on other Makes anyhow, ( I have read forums on Ford, MG and Suzuki ) so it looks like it may be possible to seal the thread with some sort of sealant... any advice would be gratefully received... Im kinda hoping that someone will say " yep I did that , and all was well " !!
