Rear Bumper Fitting

Post by anythingsdr »

Hello there!

I went out on a Spending spree at GSF Last night and came back with a Rear Bumper for my '86 Panel Van which was missing its rear bumper... I've got the end caps & fixing Kits for them, but they didn't supply any bolts, brackets etc to fit the achual bumper. can anyone take a few pictures or give me a simple breakdown on how to fit the bumper?

Many Thanks!
Alistair

There should be two pieces (not included with bumper) that bolt to the rear chassis, the RH one has the towing eye on it. The bumper bolts to these.
If no one else pitches in with a pic ill take one of the parts when i get home ive just taken them off mine as ive done some welding in that area.

not sure they are big chunky bits of metal. would think you would have to get them 2nd hand. Does the back of your van look like this? (without the two bits that come out of the square holes)?
