Calling Owners of 2.1 DJ Auto's

hi all need a bit of help i suspect my speedo is lying to me and running slow

can any members with 2.1 DJ Auto's tell me what they engine is reviing at when they are crusing at 30mph , 40mph and 70mph

i use the M6 every day and they have those average speed camera's so i need to know the true speed

i have a 90 velle with standard wheels and tyres

I'll take a trip out this evening.

Ok here it is........

1700rpm at 30mph.
2100rpm at 40mph
2700rpm at 50mph
3200rpm at 60mph


I'm still running the engine in so dont want to take it much faster for another week or so.

my speedo shows 40 at 1900 rpm and every ones over taking but at 45 it 2100 and i am keeping up

Should have mentioned I'm running 225/60 on 15inch rims but I dont think the rollind diameter is much different.

There is a speed check area near me, close to a accident blackspot, shows my speedo to be reading 2mph low.
