Burbot A alloy wheels

Post by Devon Pete »

Hi all, I'm sure this is a common 'ask' but following some research, I'm keen to purchase some burbot A alloys for my T25 Hightop Cali. Digging the deep dish and they look good on the Atlantic Hightop I saw on the forums a while back. I'm keen for the 16 inch version. I would be really grateful for some advice on the following:

1. What wheel spec is correct for this van (don't want it to adversely affect handling or catch the sliding door!)
2. What is the best tyre spec to go with it (need load-bearing I believe)
3. What spacers/adapters will be required

Thanks in advance! Pete :ok

Hi Pete,
can't answer your specific questions right now but you search will yield better results when you use Borbet instead of Burbot

1. What wheel spec is correct for this van (don't want it to adversely affect handling or catch the sliding door!)

7.5"X16" ET30....I'd advise not to use the 9" version for the rear as they're ET15 so will be very close to the sliding door.

2. What is the best tyre spec to go with it (need load-bearing I believe)

215/60/16 commercial tyres are available in 100+ load rating.
225/55/16 MPV tyres are available in 99 load rating.
Both the above are more than adequate for a T3 Westy and won't affect your speedo or gearing.
You can fit a slightly bigger tyre(215/65/16 or 225/60/16 for example)on the rear to help with your gearing if you haven't modified the gearbox for your TDi conversion?

Plenty of choice at either tyretraders.com or camskill.co.uk

3. What spacers/adapters will be required

Keep to the ET30 versions and no spacers are required.
There's no 'r' in bought!
