Metal roof parts have rusted...

The part which holds my pop top down and the side struts have gone all rusty and the paint is flaking off in lumps. Still in good working order but unsightly and have stained the roof lining. I wondered if I should unscrew and remove them at the end of the summer, and maybe get them powder coated or something similar. Any thoughts?

If they've gone rusty, then you can bet the roof underneath is going the same way. Any way you can check out the roof metal, that it's all attached to?
