electrolux RM 122F problem
Hi i purchased my first T25 last week and have just returned from my first weekend away in it. My problem is that although i could get the electrolux RM 122F fridge to work fine on gas i couldnt figure out how to get it to work with electric. There is a switch on the dashboard labelled fridge but flicking this on does not seem to work. Does the fridge run off the main battery or the leisure battery and will the ZIG unit have anything to do with the fridge operation? The van is a holdsworth conversion, not that i think that makes a difference!!

Re: electrolux RM 122F problem
Did you try it with the engine running?
Re: electrolux RM 122F problem
Yes drove home 2 hours with switch on but fridge wasnt cold when i got home?
Re: electrolux RM 122F problem
Holdsworths do have a switch on the dash, but you also have to have the 3way switch on the fridge pressed to the battery symbol.Zig has nothing to do with it,pressuming its a fairly late model. Not sure on early models.
We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets.

Re: electrolux RM 122F problem
I've got an RM122 in my van but its an Autohomes conversion so it's wired differently. The fridge only works on 12v when driving and even after a few hours it only gets cool. Once it's on gas set to position 3 the ice tray freezes in under an hour. If you did try running it straight off one of the batteries you'd flatten it in a few hours.
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

Cheers boxy,it does cool very quick with the gas on number 3. Am i correct in thinking the knob should be at 0 when powering with electric, and if driving long distances with switch on will this still flatten battery? Thanks again
