Low pressure oil switches

Post by bootie3367 »

Just been looking at my low low pressure switch at the back of the head, it's a black marked 0.15 to 0.45 bar.

What would the result be if I changed it for a blue one 0.15 to 0.35 bar?

Cheers

Hmmm, reading up on the Wiki is even more confusing as it states the black is 1.4 bar whereas mine is definitely not.

Bit of a moot point with the housing thread stripped for the grey one anyway so not going anywhere at the moment. :(

Have a look at my thread here... https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=119142" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I replaced mine a couple of days ago. My original low pressure switch was black (and same rating as yours), and I replaced with a blue - works perfectly. The Haynes manual states that it should be 0.3bar +/- 0.15

New "replacement" black ones are completely different rating (and normally open), while low pressure switches are normally closed.
