I suppose you could put a socket and torque wrench onto the opposite end of a box spanner?

I'd like to know where you can buy box spanners for 30p though lol

Anyone know what the torque should be? It's probably in the Haynes somewhere :)

Yeh once you have the mechanics feel you can do alot without a torque wrench but many small threads can be massively over tightened if you dont have the experience

Car boot sales are usually full of them.

I don't have the patience for that... Want to get the job done :D

My MOT is actually due in a few weeks so it may be worth letting them fit it :D

All done :D and it works exactly as it should :D Old one was tight, but came off with a bit of force :D Only a 10min job :-)

24mm deep socket £7.49 down to £4.49 with Halfrauds trade

One question... the Haynes manual mentioned an o-ring... but there definitely wasn't one when I removed the old switch??

I've taken the van for a good drive, then had a look underneath, definitely no oil leaking from around it so hopefully will be ok :D

Many thanks again for all your advice :ok
