oil change golf engine turbo diesel 1.6 td oil filter?

done 5000 miles since oil and oil filter change; do I need to change just oil or also oil filter?
we don't want to exceed the 5000 limit without taking action.
currently in florence, can anyone tell me what tool we need for the oil bung/plug, we have a tool for the oil filter.
Also what part number the filter is please?

Hi,

I have an golf 1.6td (SB) in my camper the oil filter code for the Mann filtters i use is 940/25 they only cost a couple of quid so it makes no sence not to change them at oil change time.

As for the drain plug have a look, mine has had two different ones in its time both with different heads so there is nothing to say yours is the same as anyone elses.

I wouldent worry about going a few hundred miles past the 5000 mark if it gets the job done properly.
