Indicator problem

Hello all,
Hoping somebody can help, preparing my van for Glastonbury in a couple of weeks and have encountered a problem. Indicators work fine until I put the main lights on and then the indicators stop working and I just get a continuous green light on the dash. They work fine on sidelights!!!
Can anybody help please? I have a 1989 transporter high top.

Clean your earths on the A pillar

Where is the A pillar??.

Just before the B pillar. TaDa!!

Sorry, it's the windscreen pillar.

It's what the front doors hang on
The earths are located next to the fuse box attached to the A pillar
Clean them up.

FYI theres a B pillar and a C pillar
I let you work that out.

And the D one is the lamp post that you have just backed into!
