Radiator Fan Wiring

Post by madoc »

T25.
Radiator well crispy, fan housing slumped and fan hitting it.
All out and drained with no drama

New radiator purchased
Second hand housing and fan.

New housing has different and bigger fan (good) but only two terminals on the fan.
Old fan has three wires and a connector .... ?

I can cut and resolder/heatshrink the connector but which wires do what .. the wiring diagram I have helpfully doesn't distinguish between these variants.

I assume I had a two speed fan and now I have a single speed one ........ um ..
Not that it matters too much in the UK nowadays eh ...

no matter.
The housing is a shade too big to fit.. wihtout serious cutting...I think it's off a 1.6D and mine is a 1.9petrol. Same year.
Looks like all T25's are not created equal ..
