surging 1.6 jx

surging 1.6 jx
Hi i have a 1.6 jx diesel and it seems to surge when going up hill or putting foot down heavy i have just removed fuel tank and cleaned i was hoping this would of cured then problem as i had trouble last time out since the tank clean it seems more responsive and higher speeds but it still surging not as bad as before but it feels like when towing a caravan and im not sure where to look next any help would be great thanks......

I had the same problem on my Jx,
I never got to the bottom of the issue, Thought it could be air getting in the fuel, the exhaust manifold is blowing on mine so didn`t know if this is the issue. She`s been of the road for a few months and haven`t got around to looking at it.
I was going to start with manifold, New filters, non return valve in the fuel line and then maybe stripping fuel pump and overhalling it.
