It should be possible to insert a hooked piece of thick wire under the rubber seal at the front and hook the mechanism towards the left side of the van. Trouble is that unless you know what the mech looks like you're unlikely to know exactly what to hook on to. You can pull/push off the rubber seal with the top down, and that might give you enough room to see what you're doing inside by levering up the left front of the roof. Failing that, the fixings of the catch into the roof aren't that strong, and might pull out OK, but will be difficult to refix.

There's no easy answer.............unless somebody knows different!
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

Ours has never worked and it's at the campershack for a new exhaust at the most so I can't check. From memory though, ours has got a small metal disc-shaped plate on the outside which you might be able to remove to get at it?

That bloke behind is my dad helping remove the roof, one of the best things I've changed on my camper. It's now a hightop :ok
