Fixing tape for inside pop-top awning

The poles inside our Devon poptop are attached to the canvas using some type of tape/glue and a few bits have come off - I tried using gaffa tape as a replacement, but it comes off after about a day. Does anyone know what type of tape/ glue pop-top manufacturers use for this type of thing?

Cheers - might give that a go - forgot to say, the "canvas" is the shiny coated stuff (not even sure there's canvas in there at all!) £20 is a bit pricey if the glue doesn't stick to it!
