Expansion Tank Removal -How To

Post by eiret25 »

Hey all. Just wondering how do you go about removing the expansion tanks under the front wheel arches. Just want to give it a good clean and inspection underneath. No better way to spend a bank holiday Monday than getting to know the van :D

Hello,

There is a bolt that holds them up, just undo this bolt and wiggle it free.
There is a diagram in the WIKI.
Take care not to damage the valve on top of the tank as these are hard to come by now.
It's easier to do it with the vehicle jacked and put on stands so that the wheel drops to give more access.
