agreed....rude

x2 Very useable. Weinsberg top too...

The shiney one would make for a lovely family winter bus, but only in a county that doesn't salt the roads.

but it's not all original..............

i've asked him if it was from the feuerwehr.

Why would anyone have an original red bus with such a low millage count and go paint it green?? It just lose value!

you possibly haven't seen very many extremely low mileage ex-service vehicles but i have and from splitties through baywindows to T3 's.

while they are genuine low mileage they have as a rule various bumps, dents and scratches just from being in a place where the people using them and the other vehicles stored with them are not the owners and generally don't give a feck about them.

still no answer from the seller but i expect that under that shiny paint there's a fair bit of filler. i expect he bought it cheap ( this type of thing used to be virtually given away round my way) and is the sort of businessman who has the idea that spending money tarting it up will bring a bigger profit...........

the price doesn't seem to be carved in granite, he does suggest that offers can be made. :rofl

i like the green but it's not a factory colour.

I think that colour scheme is a genuine VW colour. I've seen that colour before a few times and it seems as though if it is a respray/tart up job, its a good one. Nicely done inside!

Even if it is an ex fire engine or whatever it looks good to me. It is possible of course that the engine bay was sprayed red!

from this thread https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=117124

am i missing something?

your link is pictures of a white hitop from poland............... :?

hmm. i meant this link: http://s1274.photobucket.com/user/monim ... how/syncro

but even that has been removed now, but it was for a recently resprayed van with the exact same colour scheme. he was asking 7 or 8k for it. it had slightly different trim and alloys but looked weirdly similar having never seen one like it before...
weird that it has been removed from the link now too. i will see if i have the images cashed.

E D I T...my pc being weird. seems to be working link now.

If my eye is not deceiving me the sliding door card/panel is missing. You'd probably strip the interior to paint it.... I can't see any red in there though!

Same distinctive colour scheme, but:

Fixed glasses in the middle
No badges or transfers
Rear drums painted gold (?)
Black bumpers, not chrome
Tan interior, not grey
It's a diesel

But the engine bay is green and looks original.
