Replacement Westfalia sliding door window

Post by Doppio »

Just wondering if anyone can help me? I'm just setting about getting our newly acquired 1981 Westfalia Joker 1 back up to sctatch and one of the many things that need doing is the sliding door window. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement? I found one on the Gunzl web site but the age they suggest doesn't appear to tally with the size. They state it should be 1083mm wide whereas the 1053mm one seems to be closer; only problem is the 1053mm one is for a 1985+. Can anyone help?
Many thanks.

early vans like yours have bigger middle windows.

your best bet will be a specialist breaker, try http://www.eastfalia.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or google franks vw bus parts, both westy specialists.
