Hi Jeff, how's it going. Not had a progress report recently.
I reckon this should be titled 'Restore your van yourself'. I know you have used others at times but what you are doing is very affordable and what any of us could 'project manage'. Dying to see an update mate. Hope you and Mark (Oh, and the other half) are all OK.

Still waiting for van to be collected for respray. Hopefully it will go tomorrow.

Started collecting bits and pieces for building back up.

Metal Micky supplied window rubbers. Need to order door window scrapers & new ariel.

Also need to find a push rod tube cover plate and exhaust tin ware for chassis leg on passenger side. Anybody got some out there?

Sick of messing about with propex on my van so back to the Komet.

Started sorting out interior units to see how it fits back together. Laid out base unit and fastened together. Fitted cooker, sink & drainer.

Image
Units lined up.

Looks a good set up.

Image
Units set up but couple of items missing from lower cupboard. Need to also repair one of the sliding doors.

Went upstairs in loft to find missing items.

Came back down with this lot?????

Image
Going to need to talk to Little Miss Sunshine and arrange look at her van to see what all these bits are.

Jeff I might be completely wrong but the cutlery drawer goes next to the grill on my Komet making the gas flap bit the same width as the sink unit. Might be different on yours and probably doesn't make a jot of difference but the cutlery drawer could get in way of pipes bit that lies in front of the sink.

From left to right - grill, cutlery, gas flap!

Looks good :ok

Jeff, I stripped out a van to rebuild the interior of my old van a few years back. I found that, once I'd got the first piece in correctly, the rest were lined up and positioned using the holes where the screws etc were as a guide. Fairly simple once I started really. Anyway, it's a kitchen. That's womens work!!!!
