Just thinking about looking at this one. I wish I had brought mine with me when I moved out here.
Getting the chills just thinking about importing spares though!

There's a guy in Auckland who brings in spares and vans by the container load! He just left my place a few hours ago after dropping off some swivel bases. He was just saying he's committed to 5x more 40 footers . He owns half the vans for sale on Trade Me.

Re: syncro camper for sale in nz
if the guy from Aukland is 'kiwi' MIck or Michael as he was known when he was in europe then the parts are very likely stolen, he used to buy and sell in the UK, buying in from Germany, he's a dishonest trader
he stole back some vans he'd previously sold then broke them for parts and shipped them to NZ, because 'ownership' of the vans is a civil matter in the UK the police won't get involved and the costs of bringing him to book on the other side of the planet means he's got away with it
if it is him then please don't buy stuff from him and make sure the rest of the VW community in NZ know what he's like
He tells a story about his brother being disabled and having to look after him nada nada nada to get your sympathy when you push him over anything

Re: syncro camper for sale in nz
Sounds worrying Aidan!
The Syncro for Sale has its photo on display in another more general ad on TradeMe although that doesn't mean it's dodgy. This other ad is from a guy called Michael from Auckland.
Says he is shipping in vans from the uk & Germany and has hired a Syncro Spares guy and will build em to order in the style of your choice.
Hmmmmmmmmmm, I'm a bit put off now.
