charging a leisure battery
Hi all can anyone tell me do you charge a leisure battery on a normal car charger thanks nostalgic.

Exactly the same as you charge any other battery 

Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

Thanks for that Ghost i forgot to connect the dual charger unit after taking the main battery off. I wont do that again in a hurry.

what are reasonably priced chargers, that can be left connected to the leisure battery to charge on hook up?
Tin top C reg van to camper conversion. 1.9 golf tdi conversion.

There's been plenty of recommendations and discussions either way on here... Some like the cheapos occasionally available from the German pikeymarkets, others like really expensive chargers that do everything bar repaint your van for you. Some need to recharge several hundred Ah of high-tech batteries in minutes, others don't. We mainly campsite, with the odd wild, and don't have TV/DVD/12v hairdryer/food mixer/microwave - and went CTek MXS 5.0, and are very happy with it.

Ha ha - first time I've answered a question - I'm usually the one asking them!!
I was advised to buy this charger on this very Forum a few months ago and did so.
I can heartily recommend it.
