Changing from 5 speed to 4 speed.......

Post by KarlT »

Hi.
Looking to switch from 5 speed to a 4 speed box.
What do I need to change? Okay, I know the box but what about selection.
Is just front end? Gear-stick & selector gates underneath? Are the rods to the back the same?

:ok

The gearknob :ok

for the diagram in case you forget where first is(n't). That's all, it will work just fine with a 5 speed lever setup and a little adjustment (just done mine and I prefer the 4 speed now!).
