Fuel Tank Breather Valve??

Post by Oilline »

Any idea where i might find one of these valves, 251201311B. VW tell me they are obsolete. Found one on German Ebay but £29.00 with delivery.

Thanks for that. Did you order one from either supplier?

We saw these pop up on the aftermarket and duly ordered a batch, just awaiting delivery.

Apparently this Jeep part is a direct replacement
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/vent-valve-j5360058.html

Trouble is i havnt found a supplier in the UK. Chrysler UK dont recognise the part number , J5360058.
A Jeep specialist near me thinks he has a second hand one in an old tank. If its anything like the VW one then it will break as soon as it is touched.

Looks like Classicparts have the 'new production' ones at ~14 euro. If urgent I can let you have a new one from my spares stash, PM if interested.

You can search Classicparts stock at:

http://www.vw-classicparts.de/bestand/index_e.html

Then click on 'Access without prior registration', and enter the part number with no spaces.

I can pop one in the post, you can just send me a replacement when you get one.
