Oh, if Scotland now counts, then Big Sands at Gairloch, Fortrose Campsite by Chanoray Point outside Inverness, Applecross Campsite, are all slap bang on the seashore.
In England, another one near Weymouth, Eweleaze Campsite is a bit pricey/ eco but has direct access to the beach and allows campfires.

They're fine with campervans - at least there have always been some there when ever we've visited. I think the ban on anything larger or on caravans comes out of the fact that it's a single track lane going into the site with a quite steep hill at the end.

No sign on the main road, no electric hookup, crappy old toilet and shower facilities, down a windy narrow road, on a very steep hill = no caravans and large motor homes, perfect
Kingsdown in Deal, Kent. One of our favourites. Campfires allowed, direct beach access and a couple of nice pubs within walking distance. Stunning views (except the bongo)
Judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid

Just been here. Very nice. But then wild camped the next night at the beach. Ace!
