Thermo mats

Hi All
I need some new Thermo mats for my Club Joker - any recommendations?
Looking at JK or VW Heritage they're the same price, but not sure if the same product.

I have JK ones in my van, they are ok. Only ever had the one set so don't know what the others are like.

do they make much difference when you've got the double glazing anyway? I've got an external Silver Screen for the front, but never felt the need to insulate the rear as well.....

I like the look of the silver screen but Looking for black out more than keeping warm.
I few mins extra sleep with two kids in the roof is always a bonus!

Ditto on any making your own tips. I've just found a load of that shiney stuff you put behind radiators in houses, thought that might have the potential to be adapted or modified.

i made my own too...5/6 years ago and still going strong. Got the windscreen sun shields from Poundland - cut to correct shapes and they come complete with suckers and elastics to hold while folded. Too small for windscreen but while in France one year i got an oversized one for about 5 euros. Whole job about £10-12 and the extra couple of hours of darkness is priceless. Have since "upgraded" cab area to a JK external screen, but rest do the job

Hi i have had the jk ones for 7 years still in great condition i only use the two rear ones now as in the picture to keep the rear seat shaded when its warm as i find them a bit of a pain to take on and off and prefer just to use the curtains

How did did you go about making your own? what out of?

I got a roll of brown parcel paper and used that to trace the shape of the windows. I then used those templates to cut out from a roll of the foil wrapped bubble wrap that is for insulating radiators and used some green duct tape (to colour code with my van) as piping around the edge. Great looking van Gordon nice to see it with an awning on - I've just ordered one from the Fiamma store
and was a bit worried about fitting to gutter on a hightop to but yours looks fine.
