Post by pionte »

So I have managed to extract all exhaust manifold studs without too much pain, what have you guys replaced them with ?? standard VW ones or stainless steel ?? and what about the nuts ? or have you put in bolts ?? As always any advice very gratefully recieved , and any links would be great too !

I used stainless studs which came with plain and locking washers from a well known auction site.
Ill try and find the seller in my history.

Stainless, bought some threaded stainless rod and washers/nuts from my local boat chandlers of all places - good (marine) quality and decent price. Cut the rod to the right size and away you go.
