Safari room for f45 awning

Anyone got one or got any views? I am tthinking of getting one for longer stops so my dogs have more room. Will it fit ok on my Westy?

Yes that is the one. I am trying to decide whether it's worth the money or I should look at a drive away awning

I wouldn't have paid the £1100 to have it fitted myself but it is brilliant if you are parked up for more than a couple of days; loads more room, somewhere to hang your washing/outdoor gear/put table and chairs out.
It is not really made for small vans like ours so the sides are really too long and it took me ages to figure out why it looks like the Clampetts have landed, when everyone else's is all sleek and tight. So I would suggest you have it mounted higher than the roof gutter which is where mine sits. Also, again because of the fitting, mine has a gap between the awning housing and the van, so rain will drip in down the side door, not much but better fitting would help. The sides are very bulky to carry around but they are easy enough to zip on and fit, although it comes with supporting poles and fancy dancy things to secure it, but I don't even use them as it's stable enough without them, and it takes ages to put all together.
It is fantastic quality and seems to keep the heat in reasonably well, but I could do with a skirt around the bottom of the van to stop the wind whistling through. Unless the weather was dry and warmish it wouldn't be comfortable for anyone to sleep in there (am sure dogs would be fine) And the biggest down side of course is that you can't just pack up on drive off like you could with a drive away awning. I don't always put the sides on and but the wind out awning has always been useful which you wouldn't have if you bought a drive away. Having read all that back - I think I've probably talked you out of it!! I do love it, but, on balance, it's alot of money.

We picked up the equivalent OMNISTOR 'Residence Room' same as Safari.....and made it fit our 2.5m Fiamma F45Ti (had to make loops and mounts for the side poles to hook into and the spikes to sit in)

Really heavy duty stuff and absolutely brilliant on those cold camps..turns the canopy virtually into a fully enclosed awning.
Bought it 2nd hand but still cost £125
