Hi,
Can anyone help me find the best place to purchase a both exhaust manifolds?
the part numbers i need are
025-251-217
025-251-172/R
025-251-171/AD
I've looked at Just Kampers and VW Heritage, both are coming out at the same prices £50.50, £128.00 and £149.00.
If there is somewhere cheaper i can try it would be great.

Cheaper means thinner..thinner means low life.
Empi just means cheese.
If you can save up buy a stainless
Failing that there are lots of shows with used exhaust parts in good condition. Cheap too.

As Kev says.......you might save 40% buying a cheap mild steel parts but you will be lucky to get 18 months to 2 years out of them.
Pay the extra 40% and the stainless steel parts will still be going strong in 6 - 7 years......it's a no brainer.

If it's a WBX there's only one really sensible option these days ... http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/index.php/t ... s.html?p=2 AND if you're on a budget you can pick and choose what parts you need to fit because they are interchangeable with the existing (if standard) type system.

Thanks for the replies, thinks i'll go for the stainless ones from brickwerks.
Take i'll still need the cast exhaust elbow, i could see a stainless version of it? Brickwerks don't seem to recommend theirs so i might get it from JK.

AIUI, there's only one manufacturer of the elbow, so you get the same part to the same quality from any vendor. It's just that BW are more honest about that quality than certain other vendors...
The one they sent us wasn't exactly the sort of thing you'd frame, but it works just fine. The stainless really is nice.
One comment - if you get the stainless hangers, too, be careful to properly tighten the strap nuts, top and bottom. We lost one strap in short order, and with the silencer hung from just one end, the J-pipe fractured around the lambda boss. Quick enough to weld the crack and make a new strap, though, and it's been fine since. As far as fitting just a part system goes, we're still on the original mild steel system before the elbow. Fits just fine.

I've already got an stainless can it was on the van when i got it, it's just the manifold that need changing but i'll be getting the garage to do it as i'm worse than useless with anything mechanical

I turned my hangers upside down just in case this happened
