PAS rack rebuilding

Post by silverbullet »

As a business have used this firm for some specialist components. I have never noticed the last item on this page of their website, might be worth a call to double-check the current availability:

http://www.steering-racks.co.uk/rack-and-pinion-vans/

Repair and return ONLY though, don't go asking them to supply a RHD PAS one outright as there aren't any loose in the wild! You'll have to go to VW Classic Parts for one of those, along with permission from your bank manager...

What ever happened to that alternative RHD PAS rack you were investigating some time ago?

Ongoing r&d David, a couple of niggles that need to be resolved. It's got to be 100%

I rebuilt my rack using a kit from VW-Classic parts that Brickwerks got for me. Was really easy.

The supply of these kits has recently become a problem, from what I hear.

Bummer!

There was a guy on the samba that was selling kits he assembled, with the teflon rings custom made.
