well done with the exhaust manifold :ok although i haven't heard of that problem with a TD. I am having a similar manifold made up for my TDI as the VNT turbo doesn't like returning to the sump (well i'm hoping to, don't want to jump the gun or anything :D )

Out of interest, what did that manifold cost to get made?

And what sort of guarantee did the builder give it?

Manifold was £700, including them reindexing turbo and making up oil return line so oil return is pointing straight down (not on angle like before). Was in mild steel not stainless. Was worried about the weight of the turbo with stainless steel. Hoses, etc came in at around £180 including the alloy intake one.

I've got a spare AAZ engine that i'm rebuilding as a spare so I felt confident that I'll be able to get my money's worth from the manifold over the next few years as I plan to use AAZ for a while....in that van anyway.

Final plans are to fit intercooler (once I can find place to refit air box), boost pin & oil cooler.
