van still running after i took key out
earlier i had a buzzing/clicking noise coming from the 19 relay for the window wipers so i replaced this and was working fine so thought nothing of it.just got in the van and noticed the battery light was on and the flashing coolant/temp light was flashing.so started the van and they went off, turned off and took the key out and the van was still running
put the key back in turned it as if to start it then turned it back off and the engine stopped any ideas what could have caused this.cheers dave

Knackered ignition switch? Mine did similar things just before it failed. Anybody else have other thoughts?

Ignition switch problem.
Mine did that the other way around.
Sometimes failed to start.
New switch from JK about £8, half an hours work and its fine.
There is a good link on Youtube on how to fit ignition switch.

Got me through it

Also check the windscreen is not leaking water into the fusebox.

Ign switch... Not expensive and not too diff to do... You will need the wiki help though as you need to drill a hole
in too deep to quit now....

Re: van still running after i took key out
No hole needed to drill anywhere when I did mine.
Switch is different from barrel and lock replacement.
I think thats the bit that needs a hole drilled.
The plastic ign switch just needs a small screw removing.
