Just bought a set of 'plastic' pipes (fit everything apparently) from Brickwerks. Has anyone actually fitted these to their van. I'd like to avoid taking out the fuel tank if possible and wondering if i can somehow thread the new pipes through where the metal (rust) ones currently go ?
Its looks like I cant but thought id ask as I can do without this - failed MOT and trying to get up to Scotland shortly. It was fine until two weeks ago. I'm loving the van, but thinking of cutting a hole in my in pocket as it would probably be cheaper ?
Only one clear weekend to go - not enough time !! arrggh

Re: Power Steering Pipes
Funnily enough I've just finished a job fitting a set of Brickwerks pipes to a customers van and yes you do have to remove the tank, the pipes go over the tank from the rear but then bend upwards in an "s" shape on the chassis, over the tank filler and fixed with clips, you cannot get to these without removing the tank.

Re: Power Steering Pipes
I fitted a set of these from BW two months ago. For once having a Syncro made something easier as there is no front fuel tank in the way. Just followed the route of the 27 year old knackered ones - Result!!

Re: Power Steering Pipes
I got the pipes fitted without removing the petrol tank. Garage said that they were great to fit being flexible saved loads of time (and money )
Relieved to have it done before we headed off to Scotland.
